Building Coordinators will manage building evacuation activities. The Building Coordinator must immediately notify Campus Safety if individuals are known to be trapped, or if individuals – known to be present at the time of the event – cannot be accounted for. The Building Coordinator should stay with his/her group and designate a responsible person to relay information to Campus Safety. The Building Coordinator will instruct everyone to stay calm and remain at the assembly point until Campus Safety, the YCCD Incident Commander or municipal/county responders provide further instruction. Building Coordinators receive evacuation and shelter-in-place training on a regular basis.
