Eric Fischer begins his seventeenth year at Modesto Junior College as the men’s water polo Coach, and fifth year as women’s water polo Coach. Prior to MJC, Eric was the coach for Johansen High School from 1992 to 1993, and he would later coach at Grace Davis High School coaching all four teams’ varsity boys and girls and freshman/sophomore boys and girls, in 1996. During his stay at Grace Davis High School, he won the section title for the boy’s team in two consecutive years. He also took fifth place in the state championship in 2005 as MJC water polo head coach.
Eric is a graduate of Grace Davis High School in Modesto, California. He played eater polo and did swimming at Grace Davis, and was an All-American in water polo his senior year. He then played at MJC, and was an All-American for water polo in his freshman and sophomore season, as well as being an All-American swimmer during his sophomore year. Eric finished his last two years at Fresno State.
Eric earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Fresno State, with a minor in Business. He also has a MSS in Sport Science, and Emphasis in Sport Coaching from United States Sports Academy in Alabama. Eric has been married for over 20 years to his great wife who helped him in pursuing his dream of coaching at MJC. He is also the father of 4 boys, Kameron, Ian, Seth, and Jack. For fun, Eric also likes to play golf with his boys and friends.
