Community and Economic Development
The Community and Economic Development Division at Modesto Junior College includes all aspects of community learning. The division’s separate departments serve individuals, as well as business, industry and government agencies throughout the area.
Through the Workforce Training Center our representatives work with local businesses and industry to offer customized training for their employees. (575-6386)
The Community Education office offers “Lifelong Learning” to all individuals within our community. You will find individual training to improve workforce skills, and a wide variety of “just for fun” classes. Also offered through Community Education are trips for everyone - both day and extended. Another segment of the Community and Economic Development Division is the Fire Training Center that not only prepares new firefighters, but provides continuing education for current firefighters. (549-7028)
