Programs in the Community

Modesto Junior College offers programs in the community such as Passport to College, the Early College Program and customized training solutions for businesses through our Workforce Training program.

In addition, there are a wide variety of courses offered through Community Education that will be of interest to both adults and children:

  • Fun classes for adults such arts and crafts, cooking, sewing, dance and a wide range of exercise classes
  • Classes that can help you improve your lifestyle such as money management, home and garden, health and beauty,
  • Motorcycle training, traffic school, and many others that are of personal interest.
  • MICL (Modesto Institute for Continued Learning), a popular program for seniors ages 55+ that allows the student to be involved on many different levels - as a student, presenter, coordinator, or board member
  • Classes for kids and teens including arts and crafts, cooking, music and activities
  • Business classes to improve computer skills, give your company tools to stay competitive, and a variety of programs to help train for a new career
