The Records Office will be CLOSED the following dates:

Official Transcripts
An official transcript of a student's academic record from Modesto Junior College is available through the Records Office. Modesto Junior College can mail the transcript to intended recipient or the student has the option of picking up the transcript.

Upon written request from the student may choose one of the following options:

Option 1 - In Person Request
The Records Office is located in the Morris Memorial Building, room 105. Complete a transcript request for each intended recipient. Information needed to complete the transcript request:

• Social Security or ID (w) number,
• Current name and address, prior name(s),
• Intended recipients name and full address,
• GE/IGETC Certification, if desired.
• Be sure to sign your request!

Depending on the type of service and the number of transcripts requested. if payment is needed, payment can be made either at the Business Office or online using a computer located in Records.

Option 2 - Mail or Fax Request
The official transcript request (pdf) is available in PDF format. Information needed to complete the transcript request:

• Social Security or ID (w) number,
• Current name and address, prior name(s),
• Intended recipients name and full address,
• GE/IGETC Certification, if desired.
• Be sure to sign your request!
• Include appropriate fees!

Depending on the type of service and the number of transcripts, if payment is needed, include a check or credit card information with mail request and credit card information when faxing. Mailing address and fax number are on the bottom of request form.

Option 3 - Scanned Request
If you have access to a scanner, once the transcript request has been completed and signed, it can be emailed to mjcrecords@mjc.edu.

Additional Information:

• Two lifetime official (standard service) transcripts are FREE!
• All subsequent copies are $5 per transcript.
• Transcripts will not be processed if student has an official hold on their record by the college.
• Transcript requests are not accepted by telephone (Family Education Rights & Privacy Acts of 1974).
• Transcripts will not be released to anyone, other than student, without written permission from student.
• Transcript request forms are available in Records Office (in person) or on the web(mail/fax).
• Other institutions' transcript will not be included.
• ID is required if student plans to pick up transcript.
