The Office Administration program at Modesto Junior College provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary in a professional office. Today, offices need well-trained and skilled personnel in office procedures, technology, application software, and customer service. Our programs are designed to effectively prepare students for entry-level employment within an office. Courses involving application software utilize the latest versions of the Microsoft Office Suite. Due to the overwhelming use of technology in offices, our program emphasizes technology in every course.
Our courses are offered in a variety of formats: in-class, online, hybrid, and flexible scheduling. We offer short-term skills recognition certificates, certificates of achievements, and A.S. degrees. Whether you are wishing to earn a certificate, earn a degree, or gain or update job skills, we offer applicable courses to accomplish your goals.

The Office Administration Center (OAC) operates in Founders Hall 131 and is considered an open-entry/open-exit environment. Many of MJC’s Office Administration courses are offered “open-entry/open-exit” which means students may add a course well into the semester, and the course is complete once all the requirements have been met. The Center allows students to choose the hours during the week that are most convenient for them, DAY or EVENING. Instructors will work with them on an individual basis.
Group orientations are given for the OAC courses at the beginning of each semester. For more information, a list of available courses, and/or the current orientation schedule, please refer to the Office Administration Center open-entry/open-exit website
