The Office Administration program at Modesto Junior College provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary in a professional office. Today, offices need well-trained and skilled personnel in office procedures, technology, application software, and customer service. Our program is designed to effectively prepare students for entry- to intermediate-level employment within an office.
We offer A.S. degrees, Certificates of Achievements, and state recognized Short-Term Certificates.
Courses involving application software utilize the latest versions of the Microsoft Office Suite. Due to the overwhelming use of technology in offices, our program emphasizes technology in every course. Whether you are wishing to earn a certificate, earn a degree; or gain/update your job skills, we offer fitting courses to accomplish your goals.
The Office Administration Center (OAC) is located in Founders Hall 131. This center runs all Open-entry/Open-exit OFADM courses. “Open-entry/Open-exit” means students may add a course well into the semester, and the course is complete once all the requirements have been met.
Our center is unique at MJC, as it is ran as a closed-lab classroom with a professor available throughout open hours. The OAC Professor allows students to choose the hours during the week that are most convenient for them, DAY or EVENING. The professor will work with students to create an individualized plan for course completion.
Group OAC Orientations are given for the Open-entry/Open-exit OFADM courses at the beginning of each semester. For more information regarding the OAC courses and orientations, please go to the Office Administration Center webpage.
