MJC uses Multiple Measures to determine English and Math course placement. This means you can now be placed in English and Math classes based on your high school coursework and GPA. If you received a US high school diploma or equivalent within the past 10 years, you may not need to assess.
Participating in Multiple Measures will count as completing the Assessment CORE matriculation step. Students will be notified of the results through their MJC Student Email or through PiratesNet. Make sure your form is submitted prior to the college established deadline (see below) in order to receive priority registration.
Please see other placement options if it has been more than 10 years since you graduated from high school or if you did not receive a diploma or equivalent from a US high school.
*Be sure to see a counselor if you are unsure which course is most appropriate for you.
