we have partnered with TimelyMD to provide TimelyCare virtual mental health services
to MJC students free of charge. Jenna Galezniak from TimelyMD will be sharing with
us what these 24/7/365 virtual health services look like for students as well as resources
for faculty and staff to best guide students to access these resources. Amy Yribarren,
MJC's Director of Health Services, will also share on-campus resources and how to
refer students who may be in crisis or in need of ongoing support.

A Day with LibreText

how to use LibreTexts to create Open Education Resources (OER), how to modify existing
OER to build textbooks and other learning resources, as well as how to use the new
ADAPT homework system. Participants will be expected to bring their laptop to the
workshop. By the end of the workshop all participants will have learned how to create
or adapt an OER that can be used, or further modified for their future courses.

to come through with the questions. In this workshop, attendees will be provided with
an overview of the types of research offered within our office and a demonstration
of the office’s new data dashboards before they become available college-wide. Attendees
will have opportunities to engage with the dashboards, provide feedback on their user
experience, and offer insight regarding the forms of data visualizations that would
be useful in their role on campus. **Prizes, including a $10 Starbucks Gift Card,
will be given to the Top 3 attendees who score the highest at the end of Pirate Jeopardy!
Utilizing the Great Valley Museum & Planetarium
West Campus, Great Valley Museum - Arnold Chavez

This walk through of the GVM and planetarium will give an overview of what we have
to offer MJC students. We will discuss some of the ways this unique learning space
has been and can be used with science and non-science classes. Here are some examples:-
Basic Drawing students use our exhibits to practice their drawing techniques and even
have some of their work on display.
- Students of English classes spend time in the museum using it for inspiration on
writing assignments.
- Our Science on Sphere exhibit has datasets that have been used by Child Development
courses.
- The planetarium has been used by college units for team building.
The museum also has a room with a a projector/screen that can seat up to 50 and a
large collection of taxidermy items that can be loaned out. The walk through will
end in the planetarium with a showing of a few of our planetarium show trailers.

as part of the Humanizing Online STEM Academy, Mike has worked with a team that has
done user study interviews about what students like and don’t like about Canvas course

and also about how you might construct an informal user study on your own courses.
