Return to Campus Announcement
Dear Campus Community,
I want to thank each of you for the patience and understanding you have exhibited as we have undergone tremendous changes in the face of Covid-19. Our college, community, and nation has been disrupted in ways we have never been challenged with before, however, we continue to move forward in working together and remaining focused on our mission.
The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and our community, guide our decision making. Our Return to Campus Recommendations addresses instruction, student services, athletics, administrative offices, and auxiliary services beginning Fall 2020 and follows MJC’s Decision Making Principles and Strategic Priorities.
MJC Decision Making Principles
- Do what is best for our students.
- Address social justice and equity.
- Find a way to “yes”.
- Be a beacon of hope.
MJC Strategic Priorities
- Access
- Affordability
- Building Community
- Transformative and Innovative Practices
- Stewardship of Resources
Modesto Junior College will continue to make every effort to alleviate risks to the health and safety and of our campus community and remain flexible as health conditions guidance related to Covid-19 evolves. During this time, there remains much work to be done and many questions still to be answered. Working with what we know, we will move quickly to communicate and implement decisions and will continue to keep our employees, students, and college community informed and up-to-date. We will also continue to communicate regularly and post updates on the College’s Coronavirus Public Information page.
