MJC Comunidad is a collective NETWORK of individuals and resources to provide intentional practices such as, but not limited to: workshops, learning communities, community spaces, career development and employment opportunities, cultural enrichment events, to ultimately support the retention and growth of college-success identity for Latinx students during their educational pathway at Modesto Junior College through the following:
Provide Latinx students with opportunities and experiences that promote exposure and connection to academic development, student services, as well as community engagement to support a college-success mindset as they navigate higher education.
PERSONAL AND CAREER GROWTH
Empower students to discover and pursue a path to fulfilling meaningful career goals, while developing personal growth through engagement of mentorship practices and skillset acquisition.
MJC INVOLVEMENT & COMMUNITY AWARENESS
Encourage and engage Latinx students through networking opportunities to foster a strong community circle of influences and leadership development
