Overview
The Agriculture Mechanics curriculum at Modesto Junior College is designed to meet
the need for trained personnel in a broad range of occupational opportunities involved
with or related to the Agriculture Mechanics Industry. Students who complete this
program will be highly skilled in the areas of Agriculture Mechanics, Welding. Metal
Fabrication, Equipment Repair, Hydraulics and Electrical Systems. Student completers
will be well suited for careers like farm technician, welder, fabricator, equipment
mechanic and others. Students will also be prepared to transfer to a 4-year college
or university to continue their preparation for careers in welding, metalurgy, engineering
and teacher preparation. This program is well suited for the individual who would
like to pursue a career as a high school Ag Shop teacher.
