The Applied Electrical Technology Program prepares students for careers as industrial engineering technologists and installation/maintenance technicians. Students receive theoretical and laboratory instruction in electrical principles, electrical installations, principles of automation, sensors and controls, PLCs, industrial equipment, and control systems. All of the “ELTEC” coded classes included in the Applied Electrical Technology Associate in Science are approved by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards as officially recognized classes for the training of electrical trainees (ET) in the State of California.
