Janet Fantazia
Biography
Welcome to Modesto Junior College!
My name is Janet, and I’m proud to serve as a professor in both the Associate's Degree and Bachelor’s Degree programs in Respiratory Care here at MJC. I also teach Medical Terminology (MDAST 321), a foundational course designed for students interested in the health professions. Whether you’re pursuing a healthcare career or simply want to better understand medical language for personal reasons, this course offers valuable knowledge about body systems and medical terminology.
Respiratory Care is a highly rewarding field focused on helping patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, primarily in acute care hospital settings. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner and educator, I’m passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and making a difference in patients’ lives.
I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare and have been teaching at MJC for the past 8 years. If you have any questions about the profession or the courses I teach, please don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I’m always happy to help.
