Information

I teach General Psychology and Human Lifespan Development at Modesto Junior College in an online format.

General Psychology provides a broad introduction to the field of psychology. Topics include the biological bases of behavior, perception, cognition and consciousness, learning and memory, emotion and motivation, development, personality, social psychology, psychological disorders, therapeutic approaches, and applied psychology. The course is designed to give students a high level overview of how psychologists study behavior and mental processes.

Human Lifespan Development focuses on how humans grow and change from conception through the end of life, with attention to physical, cognitive, and social development across the lifespan.

Across all of my courses, I emphasize helping students connect psychological concepts to their own lives, careers, and real world experiences. My goal is not only for students to learn about psychology, but also to understand how the material can be meaningful both personally and professionally.
