ChicanX/LatinX Graduation Celebration: Student Speaker Applications are Open

Latine Leadership Network is seeking a dynamic student speaker for the ChicanX/LatinX
Graduation Ceremony. The student selected as speaker will recieve a $500-dollar scholarship
(or incentive) will be awarded to the selected speaker.
- February 27, 2026 from 8am - 3pm: Speaker Auditions
- March 2, 2026: Winner Notificaiton
Before submitting an application please review the eligibility criteria and the application
checklist.
APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at MJC
- A minimum of 12 units of college work completed
- A minimum of 2.0 GPA
- Available on Friday, April 17, 2026, 6:00-7:00 p.m. to give the speech during the
Chicanx/Latinx Graduation Celebration
CHICANX/LATINX GRADUATION CELEBRATION STUDENT SPEAKER APPLICATION CHECKLIST
- 3-5 minute speech outline (400-750 wordcount written speech)
- Speech will be presented in English with a minimum of two Spanish phrases
- Relevant content to a Chicanx/Latinx student audience
- Submit an application by 11:59 pm on February 20, 2026.
