The Wellness Center is now open for all MJC students!

The new Wellness Center on MJC East Campus is located in the Journalism building and is designed to support the overall well-being of students by offering a calm, welcoming environment to pause, breathe, and reconnect.

Students are invited to make use of the self-care room, available in 30-minute sessions. Rooms can be used to practice mindfulness, engage in meditation, or use grounding techniques to manage stress.

Visit the Wellness Center to connect with Wellness Peers, who are trained to provide peer support, active listening, and guidance. Wellness Peers are available for meaningful conversations, collaboration, or simply to help students feel supported during challenging times. If you’re a current MJC student seeking on-campus or community resources related to mental health, academics, basic needs, or overall well-being, the Wellness Center team is here to help.

Come Spring 2026, the Positive Pause Group will be meeting here in the Wellness Center, along with many more wellness programs and activities designed to help you thrive.

The Wellness Center is committed to fostering a supportive environment because wellness matters—and nurturing personal well-being is a vital part of academic and personal success.
