Our community is currently in the middle of respiratory season, which means many respiratory viruses, including the common cold, influenza, COVID-19, and RSV, are circulating in our community.

MJC Health Services wants to remind you of some ways to help prevent the spread of these germs:

  • Get vaccinated.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Wear a mask if necessary.
  • Stay home when you are feeling sick.

You can find charts to help identify symptoms of these viruses and some tips on preventing the spread of the flu here.

Flu vaccines are free in the Health Services office for MJC students. You may also pick up some over-the-counter items in
Health Services or in the Wellness Vending Machines, like cough drops, tissues, and pain-reducing and allergy medications.

Thank you for taking precautions to keep our campus and community healthy!
