April 11th is Give Like a Champion Day for MJC Athletics

Modesto Junior College Athletics will host its annual “Give Like a Champion” Giving Day on April 11, 2026, inviting the community, alumni, and supporters to invest in the success of MJC student-athletes. This event runs in conjunction with the 25th Annual PiratesFest.

The 24-hour campaign is designed to generate critical support for over 700 student-athletes, helping fund travel costs, equipment purchases, uniforms, and academic resources across MJC’s 22 athletic programs.

With student-athletes competing at a high level while maintaining strong academic performance, the initiative reinforces the college’s commitment to excellence both on and off the field. “Give Like a Champion is about more than a donation—it’s about creating opportunities,” said David Voortman, MJC Dean/Athletic Director. “Every gift directly impacts our student-athletes’ ability to succeed, graduate, and transfer.”
