Medical Assisting A.S. Degree

Our Medical Assisting program prepares students to take the national certification exam offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), as well as through the American Medical Technologists Association to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). The Medical Assisting Program begins in the fall and spring semesters of each year. It is a full-time, eight-month certificate program offering training in administrative (front) and clinical (back) office procedures.
