Once your documents have been processed, new students will receive an I-20 with instructions
on how to apply for an F-1 visa. Transfer students will receive an admission letter
with instructions on transferring your SEVIS record to MJC so that MJC can issue you
a new I-20. New student I-20s will be issued within 4 weeks of a complete application
received.
Deadlines
Fall semester-July 1 for new students, August 10 for transfer students
Spring semester-November 1 for new students, December 10 for transfer students
Official records of study (high school transcript and diploma)
English proficiency - We accept the followng options: TOEFL (60+ preferred), IETLS
(5.0 preferred), Pearson PTE (55), Duolingo (80). Students who have completed high
school where instruction was entirely in English have met English proficiency.
Bank statement from sponsor listed on the application (upload with the Statement of
Financial Responsibility)
Autobiographical Essay - please type on page and tell about your background, what
you want to study, and why you want to study at MJC.
