Día de la Familia/ (Day of the Family): Weaving Stories & Strengthening Community

Saturday, May 17th  |  9:00 am - 1:00 pm  |  MJC West Campus

Featuring local author, Reyna Grande at 11:00 am

Día de la Familia at Modesto Junior College is a family-responsive, community-centered open house that celebrates MUC's identity as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). Our mission is to welcome families onto campus, foster cultural celebration, promote literacy, and connect our community with MJC’s educational programs and support services. Through inclusive and educational programming, we aim to create a space where families feel seen, valued, and engaged in the college-going culture.

Día de la Familia amplifies the welcoming message of belonging, joy, and celebration of our broader community. By centering families in our outreach and honoring cultural heritage, we strengthen the bridge between education and community.
