Engineering: Industry 4.0

The summer class will focus on Manufacturing, Engineering, Electrical, and Welding Trades and how these areas are changing production as we know it. The term Industry 4.0 comes from today’s new age of manufacturing, or the 4th Industrial Revolution. This movement encompasses “Smart Factories,” “Lights out Manufacturing,” and “IOT (Industrial Internet of Things).” Production is closely controlled utilizing each of the trades listed above. These areas incorporate electrical sensors, robotic automation, and quality control into each step of the manufacturing process. These integrations are a key component in the success of Manufacturing today.
