Students who complete a course of study in KPHA will be equipped to apply their knowledge, skills, and strategies in exercise science, human movement, physiology, biology, personal and public health issues, nutrition, and sport. They will be able to recognize and utilize the principles of physical fitness development and maintenance in relation to the body's responses to the science of healthy living.

Additionally, students will understand the value and importance of the physical and emotional aspects of human development, interactions, and quality of life. They will be able to analyze the history, research, current information, and applications within these fields of study.

Kinesiology & Physical Education

Kinesiology is the study of human movement, function, and performance. It integrates multiple disciplines such as anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and neuroscience to understand body movement and function. Kinesiology is applied in fields like exercise science, sports medicine, physical therapy, rehabilitation, research, education, and performance enhancement. By studying kinesiology, individuals can gain insights into bodily functions and learn how to optimize movement for improved health and performance.

Athletic Training/Sports Medicine

Athletic training is a healthcare profession specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and illnesses. Athletic trainers are certified and licensed healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals. They are trained to recognize and evaluate injuries, develop and implement rehabilitation programs, and offer emergency care when needed.
