Are you interested in learning techniques such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and circuit building to bring your project ideas to life?

Enroll in the brand new Engineering Technology 301 - Prototyping Techniques course in Fall '25. In this one-unit, lab-only course, students will learn the basics of 3D computer modeling using SolidWorks and how to prepare those files for 3D printing. Other topics will include creating 2D drawings using AutoCAD for the purpose of laser cutting and engraving as well as learning how to solder in order to build simple circuits. Skills that are fundamental for creating innovative projects and prototypes. The course will be held in MJC's new Innovation Center, equipped with the tools and technology to build the next great invention. No experience is necessary and there are no prerequisites for the course. Students from all majors and backgrounds are encouraged to enroll in this fun and informative course.
