  • The registration for all students otherwise known as the "Open Registration" period begins November 7, 2025- January 11, 2026.
  • Important Reminder for All Students: Some course numbers have changed due to the CA state Assembly Bill 1111 (AB 1111). If you're having trouble finding a required course listed on your Educational Plan you might need the Common Course Numbering Crosswalk. Quickly match the old course number to the new one, search the new course number and register!

What is AB1111 and the CCN Crosswalk? Some course numbers have changed.

California Community Colleges have made it easier for students to transfer credits between schools by using a new system called the Common Course Numbering (CCN) system (AB 1111). This system gives the same course numbers and names to similar classes at all community colleges in California.

In response to the new CCN system, some familiar course numbers have changes at Modesto Junior College. When registering for Spring 2026 classes, students should use Class Search to look up the new course number, and review the common course number crosswalk. The crosswalk helps students identify the course numbers that have changed and match old course numbers to new course numbers. Learn more about Common Course Numbering and how it simplifies the student academic journey.
