are taking the first steps toward your career options and goals. Taking the lead in researching your career choices, demands and outlooks are very
important as you make the progress toward choosing your college major and transfer
university.
My name is Claudia Ramirez, I am a College Counselor here at MJC. As your counselor, I will be sure to help you with career counseling, educational planning, and or personal counseling along with connecting you with supportive services/resources to ensure the achievement of your goals. MJC Puente is for students who are looking to transfer after graduating from MJC and preparing to further their studies with a bachelor's degree.
I feel my educational expertise is in transferring students to the 4-year universities by also supporting students to keep their cumulative GPA competitive which is especially needed for impacted universities.
Like many of our MJC students, I attended Modesto Junior College and transferred to Stan State! I am also a first-generation and was considered a low-income undergraduate student. I believe much of my success was contributed to the experiences and connections I built while working for MJC.
I hope to be able to inspire you and help you reach your goals.
