MJC Science Community Center at dusk

The School of Science, Engineering & Mathematics includes programs that teach students to use problem-solving strategies and the scientific method to better understand ourselves, as well as the physical and biological universe around us, to produce new knowledge and technology, improve lives, and seek a sustainable future.

Our courses and degrees serve four interwoven groups:

  • Students majoring in math, science and engineering with plans to transfer to a university
  • Students in other areas completing their general education math and science requirements for transfer
  • Students completing their prerequisite coursework in preparation for allied health careers
  • Students needing developmental and refresher courses in mathematics

Departments
