Economics for Transfer Degree

It involves a broad range of topics, including health, education, welfare, crime, inequality, agriculture, the environment, labor markets, public finance and policy. Economists use theoretical models and empirical data to inform public policy, household and business decisions. Careers for economics majors include various roles in businesses, law, government, non-profit organizations, international relations, and academia. The Associate in Arts in Economics for Transfer (AA-T) Degree is designed for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field at a California State University campus. Students completing this degree are guaranteed admission with junior status to the CSU System and given priority admission to their local CSU, but are not guaranteed admission to a particular campus or major. Students intending to transfer to a particular CSU campus or to a university or college that is not part of the CSU system should consult the specific transfer requirements of the campus to which they are applying.
