California Native American Day celebrates the distinctive culture of the Native American
people indigenous to California and call attention to their triumphs and struggles
that comprise their rich history.
Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a celebration honoring the diverse cultures, enduring traditions, rich history, and contributions of the original peoples of the Americas. Observed in the United States on the second Monday of October, the day provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the heritage, resilience, and ongoing presence of Indigenous communities.
