Modesto Junior College recognizes that its curriculum and course offerings must be responsive to the needs of the students and the community that it serves, and that the college must continue to support its mission and goals of individual programs. Program Review is an ongoing, systematic process that is used to assess and improve student learning and achievement within each program offered at the college. The results of Program Review are used to continually improve and refine our programs to best support students' educational goals and achievement of those goals.

At this year’s Program Review Party, the Program Review Workgroup began a new tradition of recognizing an Instructional & Non-Instructional program for their outstanding work on their program review. Stellar Program Reviews were selected based on the Guidelines for Completing an Impactful Program Review provided to departments during the February Workshops. School/Area Deans were asked to complete a rubric and provide feedback based on these guidelines for each program review under their purview. To view the 2023 Stellar Program Reviews, contact the Research Office. If you have not yet received your rubric and feedback for your department's program review, please reach out the Research Office and we will be happy to provide it to you.

Spring 2024 Institute Week
These workshops will provide an overview of the updated Program Review process, including changes made to the SWOT analysis packet, data tools, and helpful resources available to faculty, classified professionals, and administrators to assist them in reviewing program level outcomes and challenges.

February 2024 Workshops
These workshops will serve as a dedicated space for Department Leads to actively work on their Program Review documents with their Data Coaches, the Research Office, and other Department Leads. Topics include: Making Sense of your Data, Conducting an Effective Department SWOT, and Drafting Actionable Goals & Activities.
