Strategic Plan

What is Strategic Planning?

Strategic Planning is essential in guiding a college to target areas for institutional improvement, increasing student success, and integrating community involvement. This process uses goals and objectives which act as the foundation upon which the college can establish priorities and develop strategies for systemic change. These priorities will strengthen our institutional effectiveness and result in an integrated, cohesive approach to student success, professional development, and community involvement. Modesto Junior College’s Strategic Plan will uphold the college’s vision, values, and mission while charting a brighter future into the next 5 years.

How does it impact MJC?

Modesto Junior College is deeply committed to the success of each student and is a vibrant, innovative, learning community that serves as an educational resource for Stanislaus County. The Modesto Junior College Strategic Plan includes goals, objectives, actions, and measurable outcomes to track and sustain achievements for the student body and institution. The Strategic Plan will incorporate the Institutional Set Standards, IEPI Goals, and the Aspen Community College Excellence award requirements to create a roadmap that will produce a stronger, more efficient college. An annual scorecard will be posted at MJC.edu to provide our campus and community an updated look of our progress on achieving our strategic goals.
