Spring Scholarship Opportunities

ACRS21 College Scholarship: Due March of each year. .

American AgCredit: (For transfer students only) Due April of each year. 

Anthony W. “Tony” LaFetra Scholarship - Irrigation Scholarship. Due March of each year. 

CA Creamery Operators Association Scholarship: Due May of each year. 

CA Grain & Feed Association: (For sophomore students transferring to a 4-year university only!) Due March of each year. 

CA Landscape Contractors Association LEAF Scholarship: Due April of each year. 

CA /Seed Association Ginny Patin Memorial Scholarship: Due February 1st of each year. 

CA Pest Control Assn (CAPCA) Scholarship: Due May of each year. 

CA Women in Agriculture (CWA) Collegiate Scholarship - Stanislaus County:  Due March of each year.  Must attend Modesto Junior College or CSU-Stanislaus. 

CA Women In Agriculture (CWA) Scholarship - Madera/Fresno - Must reside in Madera or Fresno County. Due March of each year. 

Career & Technical Scholarships funded through the Horatio Alger Endowment Fund, awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives wishing to pursue a career or technical education. Approximately 1,020 scholarships up to $2,500 each. The CTE application will open on March 15, 2024. The first first round of scholarships will be awarded by July. Should spaces remain, the application will remain open until all scholarships are awarded. 

California Farm Bureau (Multiple Scholarships under 1 Application): Due February 1st of each year. 

California Wool Growers Association: Due approximately March of each year. 

Dairy Scholarships (Local): Due Spring of each year. 

National Dairy Shrine Scholarship Applications: Open March 1st through April 15th of each year. 

Dairy Farmers of America Scholarship: Due January of each year. Be sure to also check the current internship opportunities, that are available.

Fresno State Jordan College of Agriculture Sciences and Technology: For students transferring to Fresno State, there is over $500,000 given in scholarship awards to agriculture students! More information on the linked website page. Due March of each year. Deadline has passed for 2024.

Friends of the CA State Fair Scholarship ProgramDue March of each year. 

Gilman International Scholarship Program: Due March and October of each year for summer, fall, and full academic year programs. Want to study abroad?? Application at www.gilmanscholarship.org/ 

Hilmar Cheese Scholarship: Due February 1of each year. 

Latina Leadership Network of the California Community Colleges - MJC Chapter:  Due February of each year. 

LDGGA Jim Kissler Memorial Scholarship: Due April 1 of each year. 

Merced-Mariposa Cattlemen's Association: Due April 1 of each year. 

Modesto Garden Club:  Due March of each year. For Agronomy, Ag Ed, Floriculture Horticulture, Landscape Design, Botany, Forestry, Wildlife Science, Plant Pathology, City Planning, Habitat, Forest Systems Ecology, Environmental Concerns, Land Management, or allied subjects.  Email Judy Spencer at gardenscholarship@gmail.com or visit www.modestogardenclub.org for more information and application. 

National FFA Scholarships:  Open to all former FFA members. Due January of each year. 

NOPHNRSCE & Martha Guerra-Arteaga: Due summer of each year. 

O-G Packing Company's Founders Scholarship: Due March 31st of each year. 

Point Community College Scholarship: Community College Scholarship is due February of each year. 

San Joaquin Farm Bureau: Fourteen different scholarships, check for eligibility; due March of each year. 

Stanislaus County John C. De Boer: Due April of each year. 

Stanislaus County Farm Bureau: Due April of each year. 

Western Region Certified Crop Advisor program (WRCCA) Scholarship: Due in May of each year. 

Yokuts Scholarship: Due April 30th of each year. Stanislaus County High School or College. 

Young Farmers Club Scholarship: Due April of each year.

Fall/Winter Scholarship Opportunities

Good Egg Breakfast Scholarship: Due September of each year. 

Pacific Egg & Poultry Assn. (PEPA) Due November of each year. 

United Ag Scholarships: Due December of each year. 

Voss-Berryhill Sophomore: Due the first week of November of each year.  Must have completed a minimum of 24 units to apply. Award recipients are invited to a Voss-Berryhill Scholarship luncheon in November.  Please also remember a MJC Scholarship Application must also be completed and on file with financial aid.
