ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Modesto Junior College (MJC) Real Estate Program offers a selection of introductory real estate courses in real estate principles, real estate practices, real estate finance, real estate law, real estate escrow, real estate residential appraisal, and other related real estate fields. The courses are designed to provide students with relevant information and skills needed to be active in the real estate profession in California.  Upon successful completion of our certificates and degree in this program, students may also become qualified to take the California Real Estate Agent's exam. These real estate courses may also be transferable to particular four-year colleges and universities. The Real Estate Program is designed to provide the skills necessary for salespersons and other workers in the real estate field, as well as meet continuing professional education requirements in California. Students may choose to prepare for careers in residential sales, commercial real estate, and mortgage lending.

Real Estate Salesperson Skills Recognition

The Skills Recognition: Real Estate Salesperson award is designed to provide the coursework required to sit for the California Real Estate Salesperson licensing exam. Real Estate Broker Certificate of Achievement

The Certificate of Achievement: Real Estate Broker is designed to provide the coursework required to sit for the California Real Estate Broker licensing exam. Real Estate A.S. Degree

The Real Estate Program is designed to provide the skills necessary for salespersons and other workers in the real estate field. Courses cover principles and practices of real estate, sales, financing, appraisal, escrow, and legal aspects of real estate. The courses fulfill the state education requirements for the salesperson and/or brokers licensing exams. Classes are also designed to upgrade the skills of persons already working in the real estate or escrow field(s).
