The MJC Pirates Chronicle is an independent student paper established on campus to revive student interest in journalism after 14 years since the Pirates Log was shutdown. Our first issue is our October Issue, which covers a plethora of MJC and local Modesto news for all readers to enjoy.
The October issue covers critical stories like the upcoming ASMJC Special Elections and the importance of voting. The issue also features local news such as interviews with business owners, reviews, event recaps and so much more. We include photos taken from our own photographers as well as photos from other organizations and clubs on campus.
We give a special thanks to the Writers Alliance for their hard work in creating the MJC Journalism Committee. We also give a special thanks to Schuyler Becker and Zaid Shlah, advisors to the Journalism Club who have helped immensely in making this paper a possibility.
