The Welcome Center serves as an information hub for new and returning students. Welcome Center staff and student ambassadors are available to help students navigate the campus, access college resources, and connect with MJC services.

Our Mission

The creation of the Welcome Center will ensure effective student support services and streamline the onboarding process of new student. The Welcome Center seres as a central resource hub for prospective and incoming students, offering enrollment support, campus tours, and guidance for a seamless transition into campus life and the educational journey.

One-On-One Services Include:

  • Check-In for Campus Tours
  • Setting Up Your MJC Student Email and myMJC Account
  • Referrals to Campus Resources and Services
  • General Questions and Directions

Student Ambassadors

Students who are interested in serving as ambassadors for Modesto Junior College and assisting potential students can apply for the Student Ambassador Program. Student Ambassadors are crucial members of the Outreach and Community Partnerships team since they frequently serve as a prospective student's first point of contact with the institution.

Student Ambasadors

Student Ambassadors promote MJC at campus and community events, give tours of the campus, and help MJC staff at numerous programs related to the college experience. Student Ambassadors are committed to diversity, student achievement, and fostering stronger student relationships. They represent MJC with professionalism and pride!

Prior to attending please:

  1. If completing the FAFSA, create an FSA ID. Visit the Federal Student Aid website to create an FSA ID
  2. Start your application
    • Get started on your FAFSA Application
    • Get started on your Dream Act Application
FAFSA

For assistance with the FAFSA submission, please have available:

  • Your social security number
  • Your alien registration number (if you are not a U.S. Citizen)
  • Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned.
    • 24/25 FAFSA - 2022 income records
    • 25/26 FAFSA - 2023 income records
  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of un-taxed income (if applicable)
  • An FSA ID to sign electronically-Create your FSA ID

If you are a dependent student, then you will need most of the above information for your parent(s) as well.

CADAA

For assistance with the CADAA submission, please have available:

  • Your social security number (if applicable)
  • Your most recent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned.
    • 24/25 CADAA - 2022 income records
    • 25/26 CADAA - 2023 income records
  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of un-taxed income (if applicable)
  • User ID and password to sign electronically

If you are a dependent student, then you will need most of the above information for your parent(s) as well.
