A transcript is an official document of courses taken showing the final grades, degrees and certificates received from Modesto Junior College. Grades from other schools are not reflected on an official MJC transcript. Official transcripts include college seal and signature of the designated college official.
Students with outstanding financial obligations will not be provided copies of transcripts until the hold is cleared by the Business Services Office. MJC does not "Hold for final grade(s)" or "hold for posting of degree/certificate".
MJC official transcripts and verifications that are not picked up within 60 days will be discarded.
Students may request transcripts online through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC).
1. Go to the National Student Clearinghouse.
2. Click on "Order-Track-Verify" (green tab). Select "Order or Track a Transcript."
3. Select "Modesto Junior College" from the drop-down menu.
4. Follow on-screen instructions.
NOTE about Electronic Transcripts (PDF):
Modesto Junior College accepts electronically submitted transcripts from other institutions. Institutions may submit their official transcripts electronically to MJCESeForms@yosemite.edu or by using one of the following companies: National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, or Credentials.
MJC can only guarantee receipt of electronic transcripts sent through one of the company's previously mentioned. Students are responsible to confirm with the requesting institution for approved list of electronic transcript sources.
Students are entitled to obtain two free official transcripts in their lifetime. Please allow 5-7 business days for processing. If you do not know if you have used your free copies, please contact the Enrollment Services Office at 209-575-6853.
Emailed forms must be submitted with your MJC student email account or they will NOT be processed.

Modesto Junior College does not offer express or overnight delivery services. Mailed "Express" Transcript Requests will be mailed (First-Class) the same business day if the request is received prior to 12:00PM. ALL transcripts that are mailed, are First-Class mail through the United States Postal Service. Hold for Pickup "Express" Transcript Requests, must be submitted by 4:00PM in order to be processed the same business day.
Students may view and print unofficial transcripts online through PiratesNet. Your student ID number and password is required to access PiratesNet.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can request a free copy in person (with photo ID) at the Counseling office. Unofficial transcripts cannot be faxed or emailed.
MJC cannot provide verification of completion of the GED or copies of the GED. Information on ordering GED copies and GED verifications can be found on the GED Testing Service website or call 1-877-392-6433 for assistance.
