What is EOP&S?

Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOP&S) is a student support program designed to assist students whose educational and socioeconomic backgrounds may limit their access to higher education or impact their ability to succeed in college-level coursework.

EOP&S provides intentional support, guidance, and resources to help students persist, succeed academically, and reach their educational goals.

EOP&S Services

EOP&S provides comprehensive support services to help students succeed academically and reach their educational goals, including:

  • Academic, career, and personal counseling
  • Textbook vouchers
  • Priority registration
  • Tutoring referrals
  • Academic success workshops
  • Early alerts for academic progress and grades
  • Transportation assistance
  • Waived transcript fees
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Caps and gowns for graduation

EOP&S Eligibility & Application Process

To be eligible to apply for EOP&S, students must meet all three (3) of the following criteria:

  1. Be receiving a BOG/CCPG Fee Waiver (Type A or B) as part of their financial aid
  2. Be a California resident
  3. Have completed fewer than 70 degree-applicable units
Application Notes
  • If you do not meet the criteria above, you will receive an error message when attempting to submit the application and will be unable to proceed.
  • If you are not eligible based on additional EOP&S-specific criteria, you will also receive an error message and will be unable to submit.
After You Apply
  • Students who successfully submit an application will receive an email confirmation from Etrieve shortly after submission.
