To increase the opportunities to any student that is affected by language, social, and economic handicaps that may profit from education, regardless of economic, social and educational status so they can achieve their educational objectives and goals, including, but not necessarily limited to, obtaining job skills, occupational certificates, associate degrees, or transferring to four-year institutions.
For more than 50 years, EOP&S has provided economically and educationally disadvantaged MJC students the assistance to pursue their educational and vocational goals and make the college experience accessible and rewarding. Our objective is to help students recognize and enhance their abilities and become successful college students.
The Modesto Junior College EOP&S/CARE Advisory Committee meets twice a year to discuss issues related to the programs including (but not limited to) advocacy, resource acquisition and allocation, outreach and recruitment, program policies, and methodology for serving students. This committee includes representation from the community and MJC.
