Lynn Bristow, LCSW, Clinical Supervisor at Modesto Junior College Health Services since 2018, provides brief therapy/counseling to students and supervises our Masters in Social Work Interns from CSU Stanislaus. Lynn, once an MJC student and the first in her family to obtain a college degree (but not the last!), has an extensive background in providing mental health and support services to the community in a variety of settings. Lynn has worked with people as young as 2 years old to over 100. Lynn graduated from CSU, Fresno with her Masters of Social Work degree and was licensed in 2005. Lynn knows the struggle of being a student, working, and having family commitments all at the same time. Lynn loves the fact that at MJC you don’t have to have a “mental illness” to get services, if you want support, or to brainstorm ideas to improve self-care (being a student is hard) or want to work on issues like anxiety, depression, grief, etc., then the door is open to all active students.
Contact Health Services at (209) 575-6038 or mjchealthservices@mjc.edu to schedule an appointment with Lynn.
