An OER Hero is a faculty member who has displayed great dedication to using Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) or developing Open Education Resources (OER) for their classes. We admire these heroes for their courage in forging a new pedagogical path, for their achievement in developing or adopting new resources for their students, and for the dedication to helping students overcome financial barriers to academic success.

Fall 2023

Typically, we select faculty members as OER Heroes; however, this time we want to honor the work that Classified Professionals, specifically the Senior Secretaries, do to help us move forward with our ZTC/OER efforts. Every semester, these experienced ladies input the ZTC or LTC symbols into each of the sections in the class schedule. They also follow up with faculty and work closely with the ZTC Coordinator as needs arise. Thank Ladies for all you do! We also honor Grace Conde from the school of Fitness & Health Professions, who is missing from the picture.
