A prerequisite is a course that is required before you can enroll in a particular course. MJC requires satisfactory completion (C- or better) prior to enrolling in the subsequent course.
If you have completed coursework at a regionally accredited college other than MJC, you may complete the prerequisite section of the Transfer Work Evaluation form. Prerequisites may take up to 2 business days to complete, so please plan ahead by submitting your request prior to your registration date.
A Prerequisite/Corequisite Challenge may be requested if you believe you will be successful without the required course. The challenge request must be submitted to the division office that offers the course you wish to take at MJC. Be sure to allow at least five business days for your request to be processed.
Also, if you wish to take a course at MJC, but you are currently registered in the prerequisite course at another college, you may request a prerequisite challenge with the division office.
