SOME BASIC FEATURES OF ACCESSIBLE WEBSITES ARE:
FONT TYPE AND SIZE
Arial and Verdana fonts are good options, 12 point size
MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENTS
Save documents as .pdf (smaller file) or as .rtf (larger file)
IMAGES
Use the ALT tag to provide a text alternative
TABLES AND GRAPHS
Provide a text alternative that summarizes the content
MATHEMATICAL OR SCIENTIFIC NOTATION (image based)
Use the ALT tag to provide a text alternative
POWERPOINT
Convert PowerPoint files to HTML
PDF FILES
Use text-based pdf files, not image-based

Provide captioning and a transcript
