Modesto Junior College
Due to poor air quality, and in the interest of your health, Modesto Junior College is closing at 4 p.m., November 15, and will remain closed through Sunday, November 18. All classes and extracurricular activities on campus are cancelled during this time frame. The college will reopen and classes resume on Monday, November 19.

Housing

There is no on-campus housing available for students. Students will need to rent an apartment or a room in a family’s home.

The average cost of a two-bedroom apartment in Modesto is $750 (with room for a roommate). One-bedroom apartments are somewhat less than that. In both cases, utility fees may be added or included in the monthly price.

A room rented in a family home ranges from $350 to $450 monthly depending on what is provided.

Deposits of one month’s rent or a security deposit is generally required in addition to the first month’s rent.
