Hello! I am a student assistant/peer mentor for TRIO Student Support Services here at Modesto Junior College. I am planning to obtain an Associate’s degree in Natural Sciences from MJC and then transfer to California State University of Northridge and join their Radiological Science program and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree to pursue a career in Radiation Therapy. TRIO Student Support Services is a great way to transfer into a four-year university in a timely manner, as well as providing help in many other aspects. If you have any questions, feel free to swing by the office and ask me or any other peer mentor about college life, classes, or any other suggestions. We are here to help you, would love to share in your success!
More about me: I am a Cat, & Coffee lover!
Hi, my name is Melinda Brown and I am very happy to be a peer mentor for the TRIO program! I am a Chemistry major and am hoping to transfer to UOP to pursue a career in pharmacy. With the help of TRIO, I have not only been able to find the exact classes I need to transfer, but also utilize the priority registration I receive to get through my classes quickly. If there is anything I can help you with, please come by the TRIO office! Even if you just need someone to talk to or want to pass time between classes, I am here for you.
Ask me about: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, my pug, baseball (the Oakland A's) and why I procrastinate on all of my assignments!
Hello! My name is Daniela Medina and I am excited for the opportunity to be a peer student mentor. I have been in TRIO since high school, and they have always helped me with any questions I have, irregardless of how ridiculous they sound! I plan on receiving an AA in Computer Graphics at MJC. I then plan to transfer to a university in the LA area, specifically Northridge, LA State or Long Beach! As a double major in Art with emphasis in animation and Computer Science, I wish to become an animator. On my spare time I enjoy watching TV shows and movies such as comedies and suspense. If you need a shoulder to cry on or rather share a laugh, come by the office!
More about me: I am a vegetarian and I love to watch The Vampire Diaries and Family Guy.
Hello! My name is Natalie Rosas. I am proud to say I am currently a full time student at Modesto Junior College, and a peer mentor for the TRIO program. I am majoring in Political Science and will be transferring to a UC in the fall of 2019. This will be my second year at MJC. I have had the pleasure of not only exploring my academic interests, but building meaningful relationships with professors, peers and faculty. The TRIO program has assisted me, in not only exploring my academic potential, but in taking the steps necessary to successfully transfer! I have had a year full of growth at MJC, and I want to help other students fulfill their goals and find success. I am here as a source of support and encouragement! Please feel free to come visit me at the office. I am here to help!
Fun facts: I love arts and crafts, philosophy and spending time under the sun!
