ASMJC will open the following student leadership positions for nomination:
- Senator (18 positions - see Overview of Positions for more details)
- Secretary*
- Director of Student Relations*
- Director of Political Development*
- Vice President*
- President*
*Per ASMJC Bylaws, “Executive Officers of Student Government of MJC shall have served as a student Senator prior to the time of application.”
Per ASMJC Bylaws, the following are eligibility requirements:
- Cumulative GPA 2.5 (incoming freshman with no GPA are welcome to apply)
- Enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) units in Fall/Spring semesters
- No Student Conduct cases
- Have less than 70 transferable units

YCCD Student Trustee Eligibility requirements:
- Cumulative GPA 2.0
- Enrolled in a minimum of five (5) units
- Must have a CA driver's license and clean DMV record
- Must be available to attend YCCD Board meetings every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm
